Human Factors and Patient Safety Level 1

The issues and risks associated with Human Factors impact people and organisations daily, often causing disruption at some level and occasionally with detrimental impacts to people, service delivery and organisations’ reputation.

To mitigate against human factors, we need to ensure staff are equipped with the underlying principles of risk assessment, error detection, situational and self-awareness, and develop an organisational culture that empowers individuals to speak up, regardless of their role or position.

This e-learning course demonstrates how our behaviour impacts patient safety, the importance of speaking up, getting the right patient, to the right place, at the right time, and developing and sharing a plan to ensure everyone has the correct information.

Leading a Resilient Team Course

Maintaining team morale and building an engaged workforce can be challenging for all leaders, particularly during challenging times. However, by gaining a better understanding and improving stress, mental health, and its impact on resilience, managers can develop more resilient teams, while enhancing their own skills.

The course focuses on developing greater awareness and skills in four key areas: supporting others and yourself, coping with stress, mental health awareness and leading a resilient team.

Building Personal and Team Resilience Course

Maintaining a positive mindset in busy, high-pressure and rapidly changing environments can be a constant and significant challenge. This can place individuals and teams in difficult situations that can cause excess stress, impact morale, and diminish resilience.

While we cannot necessarily change or remove the external factors causing these negative impacts on ourselves and the team, we can improve how we react to situations, how we deal with them and how they affect us.

The course focuses on developing greater awareness and skills to support ourselves and others, cope with stress and build resilience.
